Lindis Pass
Lindis Pass Conservation Group
The aim of the project is to rid the Lindis Pass Reserve of weeds so that the snow tussock, Chionochloa rigida, can be enjoyed in its full glory. Te Kākano was consigned to grow these tussocks especially for the project.

Hāwea Whitewater Park
Central Otago Whitewater Club
With permission from DOC and QLDC, the club committee spearheaded a planting programme on the east and west bank of the Hāwea Whitewater Park at Camphill Bridge. Plants include flax, silver tussocks, tree daisy, kowhai and mapou.

Butterfields Wetland

A native restoration project aiming to restore and increase the native biodiversity of the Lower Hawea River Wetland Reserve and surrounding dry land area.

Shortcut Road
Forest & Bird, Central Otago Lakes
An ecological restoration at the Shortcut Road River Reserve undertaken with an aim to introduce over 8,000 native plants to the area.

Ruby Island
Ruby Island Management Committee, QLDC
An ecological restoration project that aims to restore native plants to Ruby Island. The H. maculatus complex gecko or more commonly Mountain Gecko lives on the island, so to encourage their survival so we are increasing their favoured habitat by planting melicytus alpinus (porcupine shrub) and coprosma brunnea.
